So here I am at my desk, mildly nauseous, about to tell you the truth and it isn't going to be pretty so without any further adieu here it is;
I just ordered a new Mac Pro.
Now I know what you are thinking "But Dave, you blasted Macs in your first post here!" and "Doesn't that make you big fat (or big boned) hypocrite?"
Yes. Yes it does. So okay cut me some slack I know how to build PC's and yes they are much cheaper but considering the time in building one, switching all my software back to PC and then paying for a Video Editing Suite (I already have on the Mac) well that cost creeps up to what the Mac Pro cost me. Plus I found a schmuck... I mean friend (I kid I kid!) to buy my iMac off me for a very reasonable sum, so with that in mind it brought the overall cost down to a very competitive price. In return I get a quad 2.66 / 8GB ram / 2x 1TB Hard drives / 1TB external drive and the peace of mind that Uncle Jobs is looking over me at night, who doesn't want that?
So there you have it, I'm a darn dirty hypocrite but know that I did torture myself for weeks on this decision. In the end I drank the kool-aid once again but this time I only got mild indigestion.
